The Saint Croix Courier The news has changed a great deal over the years since the Saint Croix Courier published its first edition in 1865, but one thing has remained constant – its loyal readers. The Saint Croix Courier has been covering the news of Charlotte County, New Brunswick and Washington County, Maine since 1865, only missing publication in 1877 when fire, believed to have started in the stables of Ganongs, swept 30 businesses away. The Courier is published every Tuesday and holds steady with a circulation of approximately 4,000. We cover events in and around St. Stephen, St. George, St. Andrews, as well as the Fundy Isles of Grand Manan, Deer Island and Campobello. With a staff of thirty individuals, The Saint Croix Courier goes beyond serving the needs of the community by providing a forum for local issues and concerns and chronicling life in the St. Croix Valley. We feel we provide a historical record of the area and its residents that will endure for the benefit of future generations. The Courier Weekend On March 14, 1978 The Saint Croix Courier’s sister publication The Courier Weekend began, initially in a tabloid format, but later became a broadsheet. The Courier Weekend is published every Friday and has a circulation of 3300. It has grown to closely resemble The Saint Croix Courier with its own loyal following. It features a “Lifestyles” section and a TV guide. We cover events in and around St. Stephen, St. George, St. Andrews, as well as the Fundy Isles of Grand Manan, Deer Island and Campobello.
